Ways to Play

Standard Play: SMALL GROUP (2-6 Players) 31 cards.  Each card has one,and only one, match to every other card on the deck.  To play, give one card to each player and place remaining cards in a pile in the center.  First player to find their match and SHOUT OUT, gets to keep the card.  Continue until all the cards are gone.  Count each player's cards.  The player with the most cards wins.

Large Group/Class:(up to 31 players) Bingo style: distribute one card to each player, along with 6 beans or markers.  Cut out the squares on image page.  Pull each square out of hat and call out the word.  If the player has that word, they can mark it on their card.  First one to cover all their words and SHOUT OUT wins!

Solo timer: SOLO: Race the clock to see how fast you can find each match in the deck.  (Use a stopwatch to find your best time or a set a timer to 2 minutes and finish before time runs out)

Foreign Language: Print out the image map for each student and have them write the words above the pictures to review.  Then play along as listed above.
Conjugate Verbs: Some of the Shout Out games are primarily verbs (Hobbies Shout Out).   Choose a person and/or tense.  During the play, the student must conjugate the matching verb properly to get it.  (For example, in Hobbies Shout Out, if your match is the paint pallette, you must say, “I paint” or “He painted yesterday” or “We will paint tomorrow” depending on the assignment)
